Political Empowerment

Our projects give young people an understanding of how placemaking happens and an insight into the system that is commonly seen as bureaucratic and leaves the public feeling powerless. They learn how they can influence decision making that affects their local place and are given the confidence and skills to apply that influence in a positive and constructive way. We call this active citizenship, and we see it as a fundamental part of successful placemaking and an important factor in people’s wellbeing.
